Romeo's principal top note is Rock Rose, or Cistus; a beautiful, delicate flower that grows in carpets on cliffs and rocks across the Mediterranean in vivid floods of pink, burgundy and white, the flower itself lasts just a single day, born with the morning sun and fading with the sunset. A spectacular yet momentary existence that ends almost as soon as it began.
